The Port of Woodland received notification that they were awarded $658,832 for the fiber to the home phase of work between Ariel and Cougar. This funding comes from Washington State Broadband Office. This is in addition to the $1,976,496 the Port was awarded from Community Economic Revitalization Board for the project. Due to increases in construction estimates, the Port sought additional funds for cost increases and the increase of new homes that were built since the submission.
The Port also has an application for $4,886,000 for the Yale Bridge Rd fiber to the home project extension. This project would connect over 200 additional homes not in the original fiber to the home phase 2 project area. This submission is through Washington State Broadband Office and federal funding through ARPA.
