The Port Commission, at their regular Commission meeting on November 3 at 9 AM, will hold a public hearing for the 2023 operations and capital budget and for the update to the Comprehensive Scheme of Harbor Improvements. The public is invited to attend in person, via zoom, or provide public comment prior to the meeting to the Port Executive Director to be read into the record. The upcoming year’s budget will focus on the construction of the first two buildings at Rose Way Industrial Park, and completing the first phase of dark fiber along Lewis River Road/ SR 503, getting design and engineering completed for phase 2- fiber to home and the potential of construction being underway for it. The Port will also be wrapping up the 10% conceptual planning efforts for Austin Point rail and dockside efforts.
The Comprehensive Scheme, initially on the capital budget project list, was delayed for the next several years pending additional regional planning efforts with the Woodland Bottoms.
