The Port of Woodland Commission and Taylor Trucking parent company MMR, have closed the land transaction of 2-acres at the Port’s Schurman Way Industrial Park. The Port Commission placed the property up for sale two years ago that had been vacant for over 20 years. The site is on the corner of Guild Road and Schurman Way.

“The Port is excited to work with Taylor Trucking having a hub here in Woodland. They have been a wonderful company to work with and it will be a huge benefit to numerous companies here in Woodland,” stated Executive Direct Jennifer Wray-Keene.

“It’s great to have Taylor Trucking here in Woodland. This will be awesome for Woodland and our industrial partners. There is lots of things moving in a positive direction here,” stated Commission President Bob Wile.

Schurman Way Industrial Park started its developed in the late 1990’s with the 250-scre Schurman Way infrastructure improvements, a partnership between the City of Woodland, private property owners and the Port. The Schurman Way spur was funded through Cowlitz County Commissioners through the Rural Development Funds in 1998. The Schurman Way Industrial Park is a 50-acre site with current leases with Peri Formworks, Tribeca Transport, AmeriGas and Hamilton Drywall. This is the last vacant land transaction at the Schurman Way Industrial Park with the latest transaction of the 25-acres to Brown Struss last month.
